Belton
A view from 1939:
BELTON, (3,219 alt., 180 pop.), the western entrance
to Glacier National Park, is a service town of brisk modernity
amid snowcapped mountains and vast evergreen forests. There
is usually good fishing in the Flathead River within 100
yards of the town. On the National Park side no license is
needed.
