Monida
A view from 1939:
MONIDA, (6,798 alt., 75 pop.), on the
Continental Divide, has a name composed of parts of the names
of the States meeting here. It was a welcome stage stop on
the old Salt Lake Trail, which in the 1860's brought people
hungry for gold into Montana and took away those who were satisfied.
The Centennial Mountains and the Beaverhead Mountains
form the Continental Divide.
