GOLD CREEK, (4,201 alt., 35 pop.). Just L. of the
settlement is the confluence of Clark Fork and Gold Creek.
Near the source of the latter gold was first discovered in
Montana. Gold Creek village was the scene of
the ceremony celebrating completion of the Northern Pacific
Ry. in 1883
